Book Discussion - you are invited to a book discussion Jan. 16 – Feb. 27, meeting Monday evenings 6-7:15 at Chel Place, 207 Olive Street, in downtown Smithville. The book is How Jesus Saves the World From Us by Morgan Guyton, Methodist Campus pastor at Tulane University. The book subtitle is “12 Antidotes to Toxic Christianity”. This discussion is open for all to participate as they look at the church of the past, present and future and how they might be a Christian church faithful to the calling of Jesus. Copies of the book are $12 and they will be available through the office of First United Methodist Church, 400 Olive Street or and at the class the first night.
