    Event Description:
    September 19th at 7:00 p.m. at BlueBonnet Electric Headquarters (155 Electric Avenue), Bastrop County Master Gardeners welcome Glenda Williams as our speaker.  Glenda Williams is a native Texan and gardening enthusiast living on a small farm in McDade – a quaint rural community near Austin, Texas. She has grown African Violets and Gesneriads since the 1970s.  She has a small business "Glenda's House of Violets" in McDade, Tx specializing in African violets and other gesneriads.  She is a member and Past Vice-President of the First Austin African Violet Society (FAAVS) in Austin, TX; recently nominated for installation (November 2017) as President of the Lone Star African Violet Council (LSAVC) – the state council representing 15 Texas AV society affiliates; President of the Central Texas Judge’s Council (CTJC) – the council of AV judges from southern Texas; an Advanced AV judge; a member of the Austin Area Garden Council (AAGC); and hopefully soon, will be a Bastrop County Master Gardener!
