Reserved specially for this occasion, Riverbend Park located off Hwy 71 at the Colorado River is home of this annual biker rally. Expect loud, $60,000 Harley Davidsons to come into town for shopping and dining, but the real fun of this event will be at the park with live music, a variety of vendors, games, a bike show and a Fun Ride around the area.

  The 2007 kick off was a roaring success and the park is ready for 2008 with updated facilities and more. The 2008 event will hold an additional Fun Run route, more games and more fun. To sign up, call the Chamber at 512-237-4655 or go to the Thunder website:

  There are also a limited number of RV campsites available for bikers to rent for the event, and tent camping available, along with shower facilities. Contact the Smithville Parks & Recreation Department at 512-237-3282, ext. 7 for details.

  The event benefits the Smithville Area Chamber of Commerce and Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA).
  Please note that only those age 21 and above may attend. This event boasts the largest number of members on its committee than any other chamber event to date.
